Sweet Beginnings Wellness Center is pleased to have these amazing ladies as a part of our family. Sweet Beginnings Pracitioners include an on-staff, Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), Chiropractor (Webster Trained), Acupuncturist, Massage Therapist, Registered Psychotherapist, Nutritionist and Labor and Postpartum Doulas. Brooke Seiz is a graduate of the Nutrition Therapy Institute in Denver, CO, and a registered yoga teacher. She works with fertility, pregnancy, and family nutrition. For women trying to get pregnant, she puts together a specific nutritional protocol to enhance fertility and promote an environment in the body capable of nourishing a healthy pregnancy. Throughout pregnancy the body can become very depleted, causing problems later in life, so, for pregnant women, Brooke puts together an individualized program to support both Mom and Baby both during and after pregnancy. By embarking on a nutrition program during pregnancy, both Moms and Babies can also set themselves up for a smoother pregnancy and labor experience. In addition, Brooke works with a variety of different conditions including, but not limited to weight loss, weight management during pregnancy, gestational diabetes & diabetes, PCOS, PMS, adrenal fatigue, hypothyroidism, and menopause.

If you'd like to turn a new leaf with your health, the 3-session package will give you everything you need to see some changes. This includes an evaluation of your medical history, current health, goals, and lifestyle. Then, you can expect to get a nutrition breakdown of all the nutrients you're getting in your current diet, and what you may be deficient in, as well as a 7-day individualized menu plan, along with recipes, and steps to achieving your goals.

Dr. Coles is a 2008 graduate of the world renowned Parker College of Chiropractic in Dallas, TX. Her love for the healing ability of chiropractic inspired a journey which began 25 years ago. Throughout the years, she has witnessed many chiropractic miracles with her own four children. Chiropractic allows the body to do what it is designed to do—self-regulate and heal, permitting the body to reach its full potential.

While in Dallas, Dr. Coles volunteered with Rocky Top Ranch in north central Texas. The family-owned ranch is dedicated to providing comprehensive rehabilitation for individuals with physical, mental, or emotional challenges.
Dr. Coles’ dedication to children has led her to seek a specialty in pediatric and prenatal chiropractic through the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association. Children respond extremely well to chiropractic and usually require short-term care.

Maria is a Licensed Acupuncturist in the State of Colorado, Nationally Certified with 14 years of experience. Maria also teaches Taichi, Qigong and Yoga. Her holistic approach to treatment of mothers and babies brings her clients her expertise and knowledge.

Acupuncture treatment for expectant and new mother supports that utmost healthy stage and through the use of acupoints and needle manipulation; maintains the life force (Ch'i) at its best, harmonizing body-mind-spirit/emotion.

If the new mom is experiencing too much emotion (fear/anxiety, worry, anger/frustration) insomnia, tiredness/fatigue, headaches, digestive distress, etc... as well as nursing issues (milk flow production, abscess formation, mastitis) it is very good to know that these conditions are very responsive to acupuncture treatment.

Mary is a Social Worker and Mom to three children, ages 11, 9 and 8. Mary experienced Postpartum Anxiety after the birth of her first child and Postpartum OCD after the birth of her second. Since that time, she has devoted her life to learning more about Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders and is now a Colorado State Coordinator for Postpartum Support International. Her mission is to increase awareness and education around mood changes that can affect women and in turn, families, in the perinatal period. Mary uses a holistic, systems-based therapeutic approach in counseling pregnant women and new parents to offer the most comprehensive care. She offers individual counseling to women and new parents, psychoeducation and support groups at Sweet Beginnings.

One Hour Individual Counseling Session: $75 (sliding scales can apply to certain circumstances)

Psychoeducation Groups or Classes: Fee based on length and duration of class

Susan Sullivan began her journey 24 years ago after her first daughter was born. I had such a difficult time nursing, and thanks to a wonderful lactation person, I was soon on my way! I spent the next 23 years involved with La Leche League in CA and CO as a leader, and decided to sit for my International Boards in 2002, to be able to help other mothers gain the wonderful experience of loving and mothering through breastfeeding. I became an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant in 2002, and have since helped hundreds of mothers to reach their goal of successful breastfeeding. With 7000+ hours of hands-on experience, I've got a lot of practical experience to share with you and your family. With my dream becoming a reality, the best part is that I am always growing, learning, and changing. My heart for nursing mothers, babies and families is constantly affording me welcome challenges as I help each one of you to grow and prosper with tender loving care.
